are willing to work at it and ...either figure it out

remember vividly the days when the mass media was loudly
cautioning consumers NOT to use their credit card online.
This was back in the days before the massive growth
of the Internet.
This was before the days
of Google, Bloggers, YouTube, FaceBook,iTunes and Twitter.
This was before the banks
themselves embraced the Internet as a way to
to offer the convenience of online banking.
James
opened my eyes to what was keeping me

many of the the sellers (merchants) within those
industries have set up automatic revenue sharing
plans that are performance based -- and FREE to

There are no fees or purchase requirements.
The merchant provides a login area
where you -- the affiliate -- go to select advertising
materials they provide for you to place on your site.
These advertising materials consist
of articles, banners and text links, which are embedded
with your pay codes, so the merchant can track your
performance and send you a check each month for all
sales referred.
Many also offer direct deposit
into your bank account.
And, although this income is typically
paid in U.S. funds, it will be sent to wherever you
instruct the merchant to send it -- and if you move,
you can just go to the login area and change your personal
information.
And if you've never published a
website -- not to worry -- although there IS a small
learning curve -- it is far easier than you think.
Being an affiliated publisher on
the Internet is a very lucrative business that doesn't
take much of my time -- now that I've developed a process.
And
bank on my process is exactly what I did; purchasing
my dream car not long after my affiliate marketing
business took off.

is virtually exploding, and providing online publishers

I just get up in the morning and if
I feel like putting in the hours, I
put them in, and if I don't, I wait
until I do. It's the total freedom of

In fact,
ComputerWeekly.com reported in January 2009 that
online sales grew 30% over Christmas, despite it being
the "worst December in history" for many retailers.
With growth rates at nearly 30%,
the figures for buying online are six times better than
for the traditional retail market over the last year,
it says.
The study suggests that people
are shopping online in greater numbers and spending
more money as companies improve the quality of their
online offerings.
In fact, companies engaged in ecommerce
typically offer consumers better selection, lower prices,
and convenient, fast and direct to the door delivery.
Because of this, more and more
consumers (even in a down economy, in fact) are shopping
online, saving themselves time, money and frustration.
All of this explains, despite the
recession, online retail sales will continue to grow
in 2009, according to new projections released by Forrester
Research, albeit at a slower rate and at the expense
of physical stores.
Looking at U.S. online retail sales;
they are projected to rise 11% this year to $156 billion.
Compared with last years growth of 13%, overall this
is a slow down, however online retail remains an area
of strong growth, all of which only confirms this: online
shopping is bigger than ever and it's here to stay!

Obviously, you will have to invest some time and
money to learn the fundamentals of the business, but,
for those who are 'just curious' here are the basic
concepts:
First, I research the Internet to determine
profitable topics that offer lucrative affiliate
programs. Based on my findings, I set income goals
for the website. Then I conduct preliminary keyword
research and evaluate my competition. This helps
me to determine exactly what I need to do to compete,
which gives me a huge advantage because a VAST number
of Internet marketers don't do all this.
Next, I create a visitor profile that shows
me who my visitors are in terms of interests, Internet
use, age, geographics, what they want, etc. I determine
what I want them to be able to do when they land
on the website, such as find products, blog, chat
in a forum, listen to podcasts, receive my newsletter,
etc.
Based on this information, I create a blueprint
for the website. It is here in the blueprint that
I begin identifying the types of pages and features
(blog, photo gallery, product pages, chat forum,
etc.) that will best help me to deliver the information
and functionality I want to give to the visitor.
Then, I begin to identify the content needs
for the website, brainstorming ideas for the various
pages in my blueprint, such as home, about, products,
blog and so forth. I also zero in on the visitor's
"problem" and how to go about offering “solutions"
(many Internet marketer's miss that this is the
foundation of successful salesmanship.) Content
and pages mapped out, I create a detailed work order
for the site that includes text, images, audio and
video.
Then, I research and select a domain name
that’s search engine and visitor-friendly. I register
the obvious misspellings of the domain name to lockout
competitors. I set up hosting for the site and arrange
it to be backed up automatically.
Next, I develop and organize a detailed list
of keywords for the site because good keywords
are the cornerstone of top rankings and free
traffic from the search engines.
After this, I head to Elance to put projects
up for bid for content writers, graphic designers,
audio and video creators, and anything else I need.
I find the Elance professionals I have used to be
cost effective and very good at what they do. (I
write reasonably well, but it makes sense to outsource
to someone who writes great copy every day for a
living.)
Then, I set-up the content management system
while I am waiting for the content to return
from the professionals at Elance. It’s a simple
process (thanks to the hosting company!) that allows
me to install the content management system by pushing
a couple buttons. No kidding. Then when I receive
the content from the writer I begin to add it to
the site using a WYZIWYG (what you see it what you
get) editor. I leave to the graphic designer to
add the graphics to the site – it’s easier that
way, it’s what they do. Once the content is published,
I get the word out at Twitter, FaceBook, DIGG, MySpace,
etc.
Next, I organize my email newsletter and
a valuable free report to entice visitors to subscribe.
It’s one thing to get them on the site, but the
real money is in developing a way to keep them coming
back. I do this by tapping into exciting automated
tools, such as auto-responders and more. It’s true,
the money really is "in the list".
Now, it’s time to monetize the site so I
turn my attention to adding the merchant’s creative
(banner ads, text links, etc.) and Google AdSense
(banner ads, text links, etc.) in and around the
content for maximum profitability.
Next, if it makes sense to add a photo gallery
to the website, I do so, taking advantage of the
free traffic that’s available by ranking highly
(something I’ll show you how to do) in Google Images.
Then, if the topic suits I develop a podcast.
This is much easier than most think. To create a
podcast, I develop a format for the show that includes
a catchy intro and outro (industry terms for the
music and voice-over at the beginning and ending
of your show). If you have ever wanted your own
show, then podcasting is for you! You will also
learn how to format, record, produce, publish and
promote your podcast directories (for free), another
great source for relevant traffic that doesn't cost
you a dime.
Next, I begin to promote and build traffic
to the site by starting with gathering the necessary
backlinks needed to rank in Google's Top 10.
And lastly, I set-up Google’s FREE Website Optimizer
and Analytics software to measure and monitor the
conversion rates of newsletters subscribers,
and of course, sales. This is easy to set-up and
well worth it because conversion is so very important.
Consider, if you increase your conversion rate from
say half of one percent -- by another half of one
percent -- you increase your income by a full 100%.

Some Ask Why I would Want To
Take A Chance By Showing "The World" What I Do?
It's A Good Question.
However, with tens of thousands of merchants now
offering affiliate programs and seeking affiliates to
promote their products, I simply can't represent even
a fraction of the total market.
The Internet is a big place, and because of the boom
in online shopping, affiliates who can perform (like
I'll teach you to do) are in hot demand and will be
for a long time.
And, because consumers are shopping online in droves,
and businesses want more customers, they are naturally
setting up shop online.
Search engines are another story with billions of
search queries being performed every month, -- and affiliates
that know how to gain the free top 10 rankings can refer
traffic to the merchants who will pay them handsomely
for sending new customers.
Lastly, I love to write and to teach, and there is
a market for quality training, and quite frankly I'm
good at it.
So don't delay longer
than necessary to give this amazing industry SERIOUS
thought!

have read the 2002, 2005 and 2006 manual
along other ebooks and attended a live
